A Stroll Thru History ...

The things I get myself into ...
To help out our local museum,
Mackenzie & I agreed to model
in a Vintage Fashion Show fundraiser, this past weekend.
Over 100 different outfits from 1870-1950 were modeled --
ALL belonging to one amazing lady who
choreographed the entire 3 hour show of models & singers.

Back in March, we had to go to Marion's home to try on outfits, complete with
appropriate shoes, hats, gloves, purses & jewellery.
... waiting for the next outfit, photo, whatever ...
(en)during 3 hours of fittings
1900
ready for a Victorian Garden Party
1890
Mackenzie was hoping she'd get some
Nellie Olsen ringlets to complete her look ....... and oh, Nellie, did she ever ...

a friend from school was also modeling
(& singing, too)

ready to take to the stage with Mrs. Gettler

a mere century later ...
1950
catching a little tv in between performances

... and then there's ... Maude ....
1930
mink stole & matching black velvet/mink hat
rhinestone earrings, necklace & bracelet LOVED those shoes!

Omg, that must have been so much fun! The outfits are absolutely amazing! I think dressing like that made you feel and act completely different, very proper and lady like. I can't believe they all belonged to one lady! Thank you so much for sharing.
